Dr R. F. Peart has founded VOT, Victims of Tranquillizers, an organisation which helping people all over the world who have suffered due to benzodiazepines. A global network has been developed that now includes most European countries, the United States and Austrailia.

VOT have also sued the leading benzo drug manufacturers and the applications has advanced to the European Court of Human Rights.
