Looking back throughout this semester our class has had many interesting discussions which forced our class to think critically. By being assigned these essays to annotate and read before a discussion, I was able to analyze, develop questions, and grasp a basic level of the text. However, when gathering with my peers I was able to summarize, synthesize, and further analyze the message of the two texts. Because of the discussions, I strengthened my critical thinking to develop a greater theme of the text which, in this case, was that we chose our identity and there is nothing wrong with being simple. I am seriously thinking about becoming a teacher because of my experiences in her classes. If I could do for one person what she did for me, then I would feel like I had done my job well.
